On Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 1-4pm Shady Hollow will host its annual fundraiser “Hooves and Hot Cocoa”. The holiday spirit fills the barn as we invite the community to visit our horses and our facility. We celebrate the holiday with hot chocolate, cookies and of course a visit from Santa. We invite everyone to come and check out one of Berks County’s hidden treasures, Shady Hollow Assisted Riding! At last year’s event, we had over 250 visitors and participants!
There will be plenty of crafts for the kids, have your holiday picture with one of our horses, even our miniature horse will offer kiddie rides in his wagon (Napoleon is getting older and can only offer a limited amount of rides this year), pick up last minute presents on our raffle table and check out gifts from our vendors too. Weather permitting, the tractor will be out pulling the hay ride as well. Listen to the Daniel Boone chorus caroling through the barn while you sip hot chocolate and eat a delicious cookie. Admission is $6, children under 2 are free. Parking is available in the Union Township Ball Field parking lot. All proceeds support our therapeutic riding programs.
