Peter Kaminski, Jr.

Mr. Peter Kaminski, Jr. was a loving Dzia Dziu (grandfather) to Caleb, who is a rider of Lil Red at Shady Hollow Assisted Riding. Pete, as everyone knew him, passed away in his home on Monday morning, August 14, 2023.

Pete, or Dzia Dziu to his five grandsons, was very proud of them. He enjoyed watching them grow up, he loved to hear of the times that Caleb was riding Lil Red or one of the other horses. He even attended last seasons horse show along with Busi (Caleb’s grandmother) and also Mom Mom and Pop Pop Hostetter. He was impressed of how well Caleb rides and has supported Caleb over the years, as he became more familiar with horse back riding.

The family is requesting donations to be made In lieu of flowers, in Pete’s memory directly to Shady Hollow Assisted Riding. Your memorial donation can be made by clicking below.

Rosemary Giangiacomo

Rosemary Giangiacomo, wife of our founder Tony Giangiacomo and mother to Michele Cooper, our former Program Director, now CEO, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday April 14, 2023.

Everyone knew Tony and we will cherish memories of him forever, but many of you might not have met Rosemary.  Rosemary was truly the backbone of this farm.  Without her loving, caring and mothering hands, SHAR would not be here today.  She was Grammy G or Mrs. G to most of us here at the farm.  We are deeply saddened by her passing but know that she will always be with us in our hearts.

Grammy G did not want flowers or "any fuss" for her funeral but has asked that all donations in her memory be made directly to SHAR.  Your memorial donations can be made easily by clicking the link below.
